Founded in 2011 by Marcelo Blay, Minuto Seguros emerged as a pioneering online insurance broker in Brazil, aiming to simplify and digitize the traditionally complex process of purchasing insurance. By offering a platform for comparing quotes from multiple insurers and providing efficient online services coupled with human support, Minuto Seguros quickly became a significant player in the Brazilian insurtech landscape, attracting investment and a substantial customer base before being acquired by Creditas in July 2021 to form the Creditas Insurance business unit, further expanding its reach and impact on the Brazilian financial solutions market.

Creating and planning of the lead capture system

The marketing team was facing a challenge: they wanted to increase customer acquisition and empower customers to make purchases independently. To address this, I was tasked with designing and developing a new lead capture system from the ground up.

I began by analyzing the team’s specific needs and identifying potential technical hurdles. With a clear understanding of the requirements, I architected a scalable and flexible system utilizing React Saga and Redux. A key innovation was the implementation of a dynamic component loading mechanism, which allowed for flexible configuration and seamless integration with the existing sales system.

Once the system was developed, I collaborated closely with the marketing team to fine-tune the configuration and optimize the user experience. The results were impressive: we achieved a significant increase in lead capture, exceeding 1500 users per week with peak daily figures of 300. The seamless integration with the sales system ensured efficient follow-up and data utilization. Moreover, the system’s data analysis capabilities empowered the marketing team to gain valuable insights into user behavior and make informed decisions, ultimately contributing to a 10% increase in sales.
